Redeemed Ones,
It is imperative for us to understand that Passover is not simply a Jewish celebration; it’s a Messianic Feast. Here’s the evidence: When YHVH went to Prophet Moshe, He revealed – “…the entire assembly of the community of Isra’el will slaughter [the lamb] at dusk (the darker stage of twilight)…I will pass through…Egypt…kill all the firstborn in the land…and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt; I am YHVH. The blood will serve as a sign marking the houses where you are; when I see the blood, I will pass over…you…the death blow will not strike you. This will be a day for you to remember and celebrate as a festival to YHVH; from generation to generation you are to celebrate it by a perpetual regulation“ (Exodus 12:6; 12-14 CJB personalized and emphasized). Likewise, as Yeshua HaMashiyach our Passover Lamb hung on the cross, “At noon, darkness covered the whole Land until three o’clock in the afternoon” (Mark 15:33 CJB emphasized); and as He and His disciples had gathered to eat the Passover meal, He proclaimed: “…do this in memory of Me” (Luke 22:19 CJB emphasized). Now the focus here is not on the meal/feast; it is referenced here to help us better navigate to the act. For before it became a feast regulation, it was a dramatic redemptive act.
The Hebrew word for this meal/feast ‘Pesach’ (pronounced pay-sack) is derived from a primitive root word ‘Pasach’ (pronounced paw-sack). This primitive root word in actuality means to skip; to pass over; to limp [to be flexible]. At its inception, YHVH protected the community of Isra’el by allowing the death angel to pass over their houses. Yet at the same time, all Egyptian firstborn males, as well as livestock, from the throne throughout Egypt were slain by this death angel. YHVH smote all the Egyptian firstborns because Genesis 15:1-6 reveals that the firstborns are the ones with the right to the inheritance; they are the heirs. Now according to Deuteronomy 21:17, in distribution, if the firstborn wasn’t the only son/child, he would receive a double portion while the other siblings were given only one. So with the Egyptian firstborns out of the way, it initiated the transference of the double portion – which rightfully belonged to them – to the community of Isra’el.
The Word of the LORD to Prophet Moshe, was – “…I will pass through…Egypt…kill all the firstborn in the land…and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt; I am YHVH. The blood will serve as a sign marking the houses where you are; when I see the blood, I will pass over [Hebrew: pasach] you…the death blow will not strike you. This will be a day for you to remember and celebrate as a festival to YHVH; from generation to generation you are to celebrate it by a perpetual regulation” (Exodus 12:12-14 CJB emphasized).
So the blood from the lambs which were slaughtered and applied spoke on their behalf. When the death angel saw the blood, it told him death had already occurred – the firstborn was already slain. Hence there was no need for him to pass in to kill, instead he passed over – Pasach. A Lamb took the place of death for the community of Isra’el. Likewise, Yeshua HaMashiyach our Passover Lamb took the place of death when He hung on the cross. From the island of Patmos, Apostle John revealed that Yeshua HaMashiyach is “…the Lamb slaughtered before the world was founded” (Revelation 13:8 CJB). Apostle Paul disclosed to Romans that He is “…the Firstborn among many brothers” (Romans 8:29 CJB). As was revealed earlier, Pasach means to skip; to pass over. Within this move is a twofold prophetic act, which is about to transpire in your life because the Passover Lamb took our place. To skip/pass over as in going to another level/dimension and to skip/pass over as in to miss the target.
- Pasach – To Skip/Pass Over To Another Dimension
Whenever someone dies, we would often say that person has passed over to the other side. This other side is actually another dimension of life; for death is not the end. It is simply a gateway to a new beginning. However, we do not have to wait for death to come to encounter an upgrade, launch or reset in life. YHVH is in the business of issuing upgrades, launches and resets right now. Prophet Isaiah reveals that He is doing something new which will spring forth {Check Isaiah 43:19}. Now before something new can spring forth, something old has got to die. Death is a gateway to a new beginning. Something old in your life is at the brink of death because your promotion is due. It’s time for your upgrade; it’s time for your launch; it’s time for your reset; it’s time for a new beginning in your life; it’s time to go to another dimension!!!
- Pasach – To Skip/Pass Over/Miss The Target
Like King David, Yosef – Joseph, Prophet Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Job, Apostle Peter, Yeshua HaMashiyach and the many others, the adversary has desired to wipe you out. From the moment you were discovered in your mother’s womb you have been a target for the adversary. Yet his plots of wiping you out have failed to materialize. The thing which was designed to take you out was the very thing YHVH used to mould you. YHVH has kept you by allowing the thing which was meant to keep you under to Pasach you. Although you have been the target, the arrow keeps missing you; death passed over you and you’re still standing. Many around you have been crushed down, defeated and destroyed yet you are still standing; kept by the grace of God. His mercy kept you even when you wanted to let go. He held you even when you thought you were going under. “For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says YHVH,’ plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 CJB). You may currently be in the heat of a battle, feeling confined and bewildered because time seems to be out. Know this – His plans for you are still His focus/objective. YHVH is still watching over His Word to bring it into fulfillment! Like Mary and Martha, it may be difficult for you to see the possibility, but your ability to see the possibility does not infringe on His ability to be whatever He can be.
For four hundred and thirty years (430yrs), the community of Isra’el were held captive by their stronghold – Egypt. Yet in one night YHVH passed through and set the entire community of Isra’el free from the system of Egypt – “…I will pass through…and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt” (Exodus 12:12-13 CJB). The blood of the Lamb not only guaranteed their passing over, the Blood spoke liberty from the system they were bonded to. He “…gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us from the present evil world-system…” (Galatians 1:4 CJB). Clearly, Pasach typifies redemption in a dramatic way. This Passover, issue His Blood to speak for you!
I proclaim to you this day, that His blood is still available to speak liberty on your behalf from whatever system you’re bonded to. Let The Blood Speak!

Prophetic Outlook: Revealing YHVH to the Nations!!!
“…the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life” (John 6:63 KJV).
Very enlightening . I almost took membership at a church. Then something threw me. It was the mere fact that the pastor did not believe in celebrating Easter, Christmas and the one that really hit home was the fact that he decides when his church should take communion and that’s not very often. In his opinion it’s something that should be taken seriously n he don’t think they are ready. Your thoughts ?! I don’t think we can do anything that will make us worthy. It’s what he’s already done for us at the cross. What do u think?!

Thanks for sharing how enlightening it is. I trust that part two would do the same. With regards to my thoughts on your scenario, I do not know why the Pastor doesn’t celebrate Easter and Christmas so I cannot address his convictions. If he thinks the taking of communion is reserved for when his members are ready, then he should be aware that it’s his responsibility to get them ready. Of a truth, this is something we shouldn’t take for granted and neither should it be reserved for once in a blue moon. Yet there is no confined specifics given in Scripture; it simply says “…as often as you…” {Check 1 Corinthians 11:25-26}. So it depends on one’s understanding of the term often. The only thing we can do to make us worthy is to be in Christ.
I trust that this response helps. Be Blessed.
